Abstract
National Aeronautical Laboratory, now called National Aerospace Laboratories, was set up on 1 June 1959 with offices in Delhi and moved to Bangalore on 1 March 1960. NAL opened with offices on Jayamahal Road (see photo) and Palace Road. The Jayamahal Road building was actually a stable of the Mysore Maharaja’s palace!
