    Abstract

    As a part of the validation exercise for the Dawes code ‘un_b3d_ke’, the code has been used to compute the flow over a controlled diffusion aerofoil (CDNAL) for which extensive cascade test data is available in-house for comparison. Computations have been carried out for full blade span (3-D) and thin slice (Quasi 3-D) for a given inlet condition. The computed surface Mach number distribution and wake profiles have been discussed and compared with the TCT (NAL) cascade test results.
