Abstract
An existing pressure-based Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes solver RANS3D for prediction of turbulent incompressible flow is extended to include the solution of energy equation for prediction of flow problems with convective heat transfer. Appropriate discretisation schemes and different boundary conditions are incorporated for energy equation in the code. The code has been successfully validated against measurement and other computation data for three different laminar convective heat transfer problems.
