Abstract

The 14-seater 'Saras' designed and developed by National Aeronautical Laboratory, Bangalore undertook its maiden flight on August 22, 2004. The aircraft is capable of a maximum flying speed of 550 km per hour at a cruise altitude of 7.5 km.
