Abstract

The paper deals with a taper cum trickle charger which automatically adjusts the charging current proportional to the AH of discharge of the battery. The unique feature of the charger is that the SCR is phase controlled and, unlike other chargers using UJT and SCR, this is not an ON-OFF charger but a proportional charger. Refs.
