Abstract
High pressure pulse is generated when a low-velocity13; projectile strikes a tungsten carbide opposed anvil system13; with pyrophyllite gasket and solid pressure transmitting13; medium. A possible mechanism based on the gasket- 13; compression is proposed for generation of such pressure13; pulses.
