    Abstract

    In the present paper, a four noded shear flexible plate element is developed based on FSDC, which can model the distributed piezoelectric actuators and sensors in a laminated configuration. A sub-laminate based damage model is introduced along with multipoint constraints to idealise debonding/delamination in the smart laminate. Using this13; modeling procedure, the debonding can be introduced in the actuator or sensor and multiple delaminations can be idealized in the substrate. Further, an active feedback control scheme (LQG) is developed and implemented to assess the influence of actuator debonding on the closed loop system performance while controlling the vibration actively.13;
