An integrated approach to designing air-superiority fighters is outlined and the design priorities for future fighters are discussed.Consideration is given to a secure cockpit, fire-control system,weapons carriage, stealth, small size, maneuverability, agility, nose pointing, eluding missiles, and persistence. Also the design requirements unrelated to battle are noted.
