Abstract

A detailed analysis of a special short wind tunnel internal strain gauge balance is presented. It mainly involves the static analysis of the indeterminate structure both by the method of superposition and strain energy method. Calibration constants of the balance were13; evaluated by the analysis. These results were compared with the experimental results which were determined by actual calibration of the balance. The general procedure adopted can be used for the analysis of other wind tunnel balances. (Author)
