Viswanath, PR (2006) Boundary layer separation control by manipulation of shear layer reattachment. In: IUTAM Symposium on One Hundred Years of Boundary Layer Research, 12-14 Aug 2004, Gottingen, Germany.Full text not available from this repository.
A brief review of recent experimental research in our group on separation control is presented. Examples in which a significant modification of a turbulent separated flow is achieved by direct manipulation of shear layer reattachment are discussed. It is suggested that such a strategy could be attractive and beneficial.
