The glass transition temperature (Tg), electrical conductivity ( sigma ) and density (d) have been measured for eight compositions of the Ge-Se-Te system. In(GeSe//2)//1//0//0// minus //2//xSe//xTe//x glasses, an increase of a sigma and density is seen with increasing Te content. The T//g of these glasses reduces with increasing Te content due to a continuous reduction of E//g and connectedness. In the variation of T//g and d with composition, a large change in slope is seem in the vicinity of the composition with the average coordination number LT AN BR m RT AN BR of 2. 4. This is consistent with the Phillips-Thorpe model which indicates mechanical critical behavior for composition with LT AN BR m RT AN BR equal to 2. 4. 54 Refs.
