Abstract
Analytical solutions are presented for the stresses in a conical shell having a circular hole on its lateral surface. The shell is subjected to torsional load. The method of analysis involves perturbations in parameters defining curvature and the cone angle of the shell (x3B2; and x3B5; respectively). The membrane and bending stresses are obtained retaining terms of the order of x3B2;4 and x3B5;2.
