Abstract
This paper discusses some problems connected with flight simulation and selection of evaluation pilots . A modified Cooper-Harper scale is suggested which provides separate ratings on the aircraft's longitudinal, and lateral/13; directional dynamics, and on cockpit management. The ratings13; are qualified by an alphabetic index which indicates the13; confidence with which simulation data may be extrapolated to13; actual flight situations.
