Abstract
An automatic control system, designed for use with multipoint excitation rigs, is described. The system uses phase-locked closed loop control to excite and track natural modes of vibration in complex structures. Six control loops are provided, one to control excitation frequency and the other five to control force levels. Details of design and performance of the system are presented.
