Abstract

The main features of the techniques used at the Flight Mechanics and Controls Division, NAL, India, and at the Institute of Flight Mechanics, DLR, for the generation of Lower Order Equivalent System (LOES) models are briefly described. Practical application aspects and some recent experiences and problems encountered in evaluating the LOES parameters for modern high-performance aircraft are examined. Outcomes of parallel evaluation using both the DLR and NAL methods are considered. 13;
