Abstract
A Friction end Weer Monitoring Instrumentation System developed by the authors for the P I N AND DISC MACHINE is described. Them achine designed and developed by the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Indian Institute of Science, Bengelore, is used for the study of the composite materials. Friction experienced by the composite material and it' swearere monitored by the above system. Provision ha been made for recording the sequantities. Friction is monitored with a strain gauge based sensor end Weer is monitored by an LVDT13; displacement sensor.
