Abstract
Wagner introduced a set of functions, henceforth to be called quot;Wagner functionsquot;, in approximating the pressure load on a finite wing in the chord wise direction. It is shown that these functions form a linearly independent set satisfying quot;Pseudo orthonormal propertyquot; with respect to a suitable weighting function and further their properties such as die recurrence relation, the differential equation, generating function etc., are derived.
