    Abstract

    The Aerospace Electronics(AL) group was actively involved in the design and development of Variable Geometry Digital Engine control Unit (VGDECU) for use in Kaveri engine development program of GTRE. VGDECU is used to control the mass flow in the compressor to avoid surges in the aero engine. The AL group has taken a major responsibility of designing and configuring the control and Instrumentation system for the 4m X 8m HAL autoclave. This autoclave will be used for curing the composite components of LCA. The system software Requirements were finalised after a critical design review. The challenging task is to maintain part temperature cure cycle within close tolerance limits.
