Abstract
An automatically controlled Pressure Regulating Valve13; located between the air receivers and the settling chamber of the tunnel is an essential component for the purpose of13; maintaining the stagnation pressure in the settling chamber13; at a predetermined value during a test run.13; Development of a Pressure Regulating Valve (P.R.V)13; including its hydraulic system for Propulsion Division of N.A.L. was undertaken by Instrumentation Division. The absolute necessity of a P.R.V. for the proposed Transonic Cascade Tunnel, the non-availability of free foreign exchange for its procurement from abroad, non-availability of such a unit readily in the indigenous market, was the motivation for the development of a suitable unit within N.A.L.
