Abstract
A Fuels Testing Laboratory suitable for the evaluation13; of important properties of various hydrocarbon fuels and oils13; using standardised equipments under specifically controlled13; conditions, confirming to ASTM/ISI specifications, has been13; established. The report describes the equipments and apparatus employed for the determination of each of the properties of fuel, the experimental procedure to be adopted for the evaluation of these properties as per the standards set in ASTM/ISI specification of fuels and the significance of these tests. Typical results obtained for representative samples of hydrocarbon fuels using these instruments are also described.
