Abstract
Dr. Nilakantan welcomed the members to the meeting.13; He stated that Prof. M.S. Thacker was present at the13; last meeting and the Committee had his advice and assistance13; in connection with the work of the Committee. Prof.13; Thacker was very keen that the activities of the Committee13; should be stepped up and that the work of installation of demonstration units of windmills should be continued.13; The. most important subject that had come up for consideration of the Committee was the proposal for a maintenance and installation unit which was sanctioned. A13; number of staff were appointed subsequent, to the date of13; the last meeting. Concrete steps/had been taken regarding13; the manufacture of windmills and for further installation13; of windmills in various localities, as detailed in13; the Review. Dr. Nilakantan spotlighted the activities13; and also explained the difficulties experienced in the13; implementation of the proposal.
