Abstract
A typical turbine blade cascade is used to analyse the effect of pitch to chord ratio and the blade height in a subsonic cascade tunnel. The dependence of losses associated with the wall boundary layer and the secondary flows on the pitch to chord ratio and the existence of an optimum value of pitch to chord ratio are discussed from the above conditions, a method is proposed for the design over the choice of blade chord and the pitch.
