Abstract
This report presents a mathematical model of arc-heating in a tube arc-heater with variable radius. Fundamental equations were given, and the numerical solution13; of differential equations in general and a special case of a one-dimensional flow discussed.The differential equations were solved numerically with the help of high speed electronic digital computer and the results are discussed. Proposals are made for the use of these results for design of a tube arc-heater.
