Abstract
A finite element approach to determine the aerodynamic influence coefficients consistent with the stiffness and inertia properties of a flying vehicle in supersonic13; flow is presented. This is basically a kinematic method which reduces the dynamical equations of a nonconservative system to a simple and elegant form. This approach amalgamates the disciplines of matrix algebra, and is essentially suitable for a modern high speed digital computer.
