Abstract
As part of programme of systematic X-ray investigations13; of mesogenic compoundsl; the crystal structure of n-p-cyanobenzilidne: p-n-octyloxyaniline (CBOOA) has been anaIysed in its .stable solid phase. The compound is known to exhibit the following liquid crystalline phases on heating.
