Abstract

Documentation and interpretation of experimental results obtained from force and moment measurements on a body of revolution, different cropped delta wings, and their wing body combinations are considered. The experiments were carried out in the transonic wind tunnel. They comprise the Mach number range from 0.5 to 1.2 at angles of attack up to 30 deg. In some cases, the Reynolds number was also varied. The results form a data base which is aimed at the validation and improvement of prediction methods and helps to lead to a better understanding of the complex three dimensional separated flow fields.
