Abstract
The crystal structure of np-methoxybenzylidene-p- phenylazoaniline, a nematogenic compound of positive dielectric anisotropy has been determined by x-ray diffraction methods using single crystals. It is established that the nearest neighbours are oriented antiparaIIel with respect to each other.
