Abstract

The first part of this paper gives an overview of ATTAS, (Advanced Technologies Testing Aircraft System) DFVLR's new in-flight simulator aircraft. This includes a short description of the application potential, design requirements, vehicle modifications, the overall system performance and simulation capabilities. The second part of the paper presents the design technique and nonlinear digital simulation results of the model- following flight-control system, showing the good simulation fidelity that can be achieved. 13; 13;
