Abstract
Thin-Layer Navier-Stokes equations in generalized body-fitted coordinate system and non-dimensional form are solved to numerically simulate high speed viscous flows.13; A second order accurate explicit upwind MUSCL type algorithm incorporating flux-vector splitting due to Van Leer is formulated within the frame work to finite volume13; approach. TVD limiters are used to avoid undershoots and overshoots in the skock region. The results of laminar flow calculations are presented for hemisphere cylinder13; configuration at supersonic Mach number.
