    Abstract

    The calculatiosn. of the-flap-lag vibration modes arid fre-qiieiicies hns been the subject of several previous investigations. The purpose of the present investigation is to present a systematic approach for -the calculation of the normal modes and frequencies of rotating beams, which can be used as co-ordinate or basis functions in the analysis ox20AC; flap-lag stability of hingless roter blades, air resonance analysis and in the vibration analysis of non uniform liingless helicopter roter blades. It was also essential to calculate these modes and frequencies for a wide range of rotor speeds, In this report a systematic method of calculating the normal modes of uniform rotor blades is presented.
