Turbulent flow in a 3-dimensional lid driven cavity at Re = 10000 has been simulated numerically by solving the Navier-Stokes equations. Computed Reynolds stress profiles and turbulence spectrum agree well with the experimental data. The procedure creates a wealth of flow data that cannot easily be acquired experimentally.
