Abstract
This paper reports some new data on the thermoelectric and resistivity behaviour of cerium across the isostructural y - a phase transition. These high resolution data provide a more precise location of the critical point in the P-T plane. The recently developed Kondo volume collapse model has been highly successful in providing a semiquantitative description of the y-a' transition. It is shown here that the anomalies in the transport properties can be explained within the same frame work.
