Abstract

Application of axial distribution of sources based on13; e11x2014;known linearized theory for the calculation of suberxtlea'pressure distribution on. axisymmetric not-so-slender bodies is described. Closed form expressions have been derived for perturbation velocities by approximating the axial rate of change of area istribution of the given body by a polynomial.Results obtained for a parabolic are body show good agreementn with Sprietex's slender body theory.
