Abstract
Force measurements have been made on a 20 deg. cone with a view to studying the features of side force generation at high angles of attack. The experiments covered a mach number range of 0.17 to 0.25 and a Reynolds numoer range (based on model base diameter) of 0.5 to 2.81:106. The model incidence was varied upto 47 deg. The: magnitude of side forceS and the onset angle of attack for side force generation are in fairly good agreement with other published data on cones.
