Abstract
Two 12% thick circular-arc aerof oils of 3 in. and 6 in. chord length were tested at zero angle of attack to determine the slot open-area ratio for minimum two-dimensional blockage interference at transonic speeds in the HAL 1-ft. blowdown wind turmel. By blocking the slots in alternative arrangements, slot open-area ratio of 8%, 4% and 1.33% were obtained. Of these, the 8% open area was found to give the least zero-lift blockage interference.
