Abstract
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, TRICIlY approached NAL13; for design of Intake Silencer for ducted fans installed at13; thermal power stations. At first, design of prototype silencer for 60MW fan installed at Ennore thermal power station, MADRAS has been initiated and based on its satisfactory performance silencer designs for a number of such ducted fans of different capacity are to be finalised for commercialisation by BHEL.The design of prototype silencer was taken up as NAL consultancy project.
