Abstract
This project document describes the search engine developed13; for NALls web site. This search engine is a spider-based system which requires minimal human intervention. The system requires just the submission of one of the URVs in the site to be indexed. Hyperlinks on the page of the submitted URL point the engine to other pages in the site and further hyperlinks. Indexing information and the description of pages are picked up automatically from the HTML tags and text of the page. The search engine has been developed using HTML, J avascript, servlets and Oracle 8.0.
