Abstract
A PC based data acquisition system coupled to a high temperature furnace has been designed and fabricated. This system can be utilized to record either thermal events in a material (DTA) or the electrical resistivity of conducting materials (ETA) as a function of temperature using appropriate sample holders. This equipment has been installed at the Department of Geology, University of Mysore.
