Abstract
The CAD/CAMS scenario has changed phenominally in the last13; few years with the emergence of high-performance microprocessors (based on R:IBiC), graphic engines , windowing and graphics standards, industry, standard max, improved networking, powerful modelling, analysis and machining software and improved graphics exchange sorti-lare. This document presents a state-of-art report on the CAD workstation. The voluminous information presented is not only intended to be educative, but should serve as a guideline to those who plan to set up CAD Centres.
