Abstract
The Role of Computer Aided Design methodology in the development of a new aircraft is highlighted giving a few design examples, worked out by the CAD group at NAL. The installation of UNIVAC 1100/60 computer at NAL and the launching of LCA program have provided the necessary background for intensive work in CAD and this aspect is emphasised.
