    Abstract

    This report gives the details of gauging and calibration of five 5-component strain gauge balances designed and13; fabricated at NAL. These balances have been successfully used for measuring loads on the movable boosters in connection with PSLVand ASLV booster separationstudies. The report also gives an estimate of the errors in load rreasurerrent from a typical balance.
