Abstract
The report outlines the various improvements that were made in the design technique to obtain better performance.13; The feedforward branches include additional filters to make the forward loop gains independent of the model aircraft parameters. This permits the use of both linear/13; nonlinear models for the model aircraft during inflight13; simulation. For determining the feedback gains new robustness measures derived from singular value decomposition were used to supplement the time domain criteria during optimisation. The present technique yields designs with lower feedback gains and improved performance.
