Abstract
The document describes an LVDT uni1;which accepts a DC input of +/- 9V and gives a DC output of the order of 2 volts. The miniaturised signal processing unit is integrated with the' transducer. Circuit principles and transducer construction of this unit are described. The unit has an accuracy of +/- 0.5% of F.S.D. for transducers in ranges of 1 mm to 25 mm.
