Abstract
Pure nickel gives good wave in alkaline cyanide supporting13; electrolyte. In the presence of large amount of zinc as in Mazac alloy Ni does not give a well defined wave. Experiments show that the presence of zinc upto 100mM13; enhances the nickel wave height, the enhancement being13; proportional to zinc concentration. Effect of Nitrate ions and pH are studied and a suitable method for mazac analysis by DC polarography is suggested .
