Abstract
An exisving computer program for obtaining he 'air1oads on a 1ight aircraft fuselage, developed by Prof. Smetana and his students at North Carolina State University (NCSU), is validated on NAL's UNIVAC1100/70. The code was first standardised against an ellipsoidal fuselageand the resu1s were compared with the exac solution. The present program includes he boundary layer development and hence13; faci1itates the determination of the fuselage draq. The code was then used to obtain he loads on the fuselage of Cessna 182 and the resu1ts tota11y agreed with those contained in the originalreport.13; Lastly the code was used to obtain fuselage loads of NAL's, LCRA(Light Canard Research Aircraft). The resu1t$ are quite interesting confirming the orders of lift and arag.
