Abstract
Recently the airfoil NAL-l-.F-208 was designed for NAL's light aircraft. It was sho that this airfoil now designated as Mark 1, performed better than Wortmann airfoil FX-60-177 for the design conditions. Both these airfoils incorporate sharp and almost cusped trailing edges. In response to the sugGestion by the fabricating group NAL-NLF-208-Mark 1 is now modified to incorporate appropriate bluntness at the trailing edGe. The new13; airfoil, designated as NAL-NLF-208-Mark 2, is snown to give the same drag performance and better pitchin? moment compared to Mark 1 airfoil. Further a surface waviness of amplitude of .025 percent and wave length of 4.1 percent each of the local chord was shown to have no significant effect on the I Mark2 airfoil. It is concluded that NAL-NLF-208-Mark 2 airfoil is robust both with respect to performance and fabricatian.
