    Abstract

    An existing computer program for obtaining the pressures on an airfoil named here as (NCSU CODE), which was developed by Prof. Smetana and his coworkers at North Carolina State University, is validated on UNIVAC 1100/60 att NAL. A graphlc routine to plot the results is added to this program to emhance its utility.13; 13; The code is tried on a large number of airfoils inc1uding the modern general aviation and natural laminar airfoils. The results agree quite well with the experimental results; one should however realise that such a comparison is between the calculation In a free jet with experiments in tunnels of different blockage ratios and free stream turbulence.
