Abstract
In two-dimensional incompressible potential flow theory, an13; exact. solution of the lifting arc problem can be found by13; the use of conformal maps. However, determining the map,13; except for simple arc shapes, is a difficult task. Moreover, the method cannot be extended to three-dimensional curved lifting surfaces. In this paper we describe a simple, exact numerical method for solving the lifting arc problem which has the potential of being extended to threedimensional curved surfaces
