    Abstract

    This document deals with a state-space based model of modal reduction technique which is a hybrid of model decomposition and the internally balanced approaches.A software package is developed using MATLAB . Lower Order Equivalent Systems for the longitudinal transfer functions (pitch rate and normal acceleraion to elevator deflection) of typical high performance aircraft models are obtained and the results tabulated .
