Abstract
A flight simulation software [SOFT] has been developed on a personal computer using Microsoft Fortran to simulate flight trajectories of a light aircraft for the validation of the motion compensation system software on the ground. The program permits two modes of simulation, namely, the trim mode and the flight mode. The simulation has been made realistic through pre-programmed pilot command inputs to the control surfaces, turbulence, gust, winds hear and constant wind injection facility during the flight mode. It also allows for automatic sortie simulation feature through multiple waypoints. The plotting of all the important flight variables is available in a Matlab environment. The software plays an important role in the iterative process of design, evaluation and validation.13; 13;
